Mercedes SPRINTER 2.2 CDI 2004 driver went to start it and on dash board it says start error haven’t scanned it yet but any one seen this /is it a key fault? The van won’t turn over??

Yes usually the key bang it or try another key and sometimes they just work later

We had one with a similar fault and it turned out to be the relay under the driver’s seat. There’s a plastic panel when the door is opened. Think it was yellow or grey but I seem to recall it was the only one there.

I had keys checked all ok/checked relays under seat no faults all fuses ok no coms with scanners no ignition live at diagnostic?? plug trying to get wiring diagnostic hope this will give us some help

It turns out we found wire running behind dash burnt out and fuse box burnt behind connectors replaced fuse box only '£59 plus vat and cut out burnt wire now running just go to put it all back together now!!!
