i need advise on changing the steering EPS for the PEUGEOT 407 2008,I got this car from another garage, they have changed the pump, the centre display show error STEERING FAULTY, the steering is very strong during driving, I have checked the the faults using AutoHex:
-Permanent fault: downloading Absence or fault in the downloading procedure
I contacted the garage that the car was with them, they said they tried to make some update in PP2000,but have problem the tester shows:
-ecu did not replied , change the faulty ecu with the virgin one!
can someone advise me what to do next?

You do not need to download a software, you only need to to use scanner autohex to put parameters on programing menu As: Tire size, type of engine etc
Once you do this check for fuses, maxi fuses especially and if both ok there is no reason for non work of it.

I mean the maxi fuses, you have to look under the PSF1, normally you should have an 50 Amps fuse, other wise use voltmeter to check for power supply directly to the socket to be sure, after words carry out the programing with Autohex as I mentioned before.
