The overhead control panel control unit reads sensors and switches and controls their functions. Depending on the requests received, consumers are switched or supplied with voltage and signals are transmitted or received via CAN-B.
• Master control unit for interior illumination

• OFF delay function of interior lights

The overhead control panel control unit is a CAN-B subscriber in the overall network.
Door contact ON and OFF switch (1)
Sliding the door contact ON and OFF switch (1) to the left activates the automatic control for the interior illumination.
The interior illumination is automatically switched on in dark conditions when
• The vehicle is unlocked
• The transmitter key is removed from the ignition lock
• A door is opened
The interior illumination switches back off after a delay.
Sliding the door contact ON and OFF switch (1) to the right switches off the automatic control for the interior illumination.
Dome lamp ON and OFF switch (2) and Front dome lamp (3)
Pressing the dome lamp ON and OFF switch (2) switches the left and right front dome lamp (3) in the overhead control panel on or off.
Left reading lamp switch (4) and Left reading lamp (6)
Pressing the left reading lamp switch (4) switches the left reading lamp (6) on the underside of the inside rearview mirror unit on or off.
Right reading lamp switch (5) and Right reading lamp (7)
Pressing the right reading lamp switch (5) switches the right reading lamp (7) on the underside of the inside rearview mirror unit on or off.
