Description of Fault code P228E

FUEL RAIL PRESSURE (FRP) REGULATOR INCORRECT LEARNED VALUE

Possible failuer P228E

  • Turbocharger Boost Control Valve jammed or stuck
  • Turbocharger Boost Control Valve Position Sensor recognized active value shifting

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

  • Deviation between target valve position and active valve position is beyond 15% during 4 seconds and more.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

  • Engine running more than 2 seconds from engine start.
  • After 10 seconds and more from last brake apply.

Clear Fault codes Conditions

  • Deviation between target valve position and active valve position is beyond 15% during 4 seconds and more.

MIL Status

  • Check Engine Light ON
