Description of Fault code P0403

EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) VALVE CIRCUIT OPEN

Possible failuer P0403

• EGR Actuator (Internal open)
• EGR Actuator harness (Open)
• Engine Control Module(ECM) internal circuit.

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• When minute current is drawn on the inactive drive circuit, the open which can't be drawn the current is detected for a set period of time.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• Continuously

MIL Status

• Check Engine Light ON
