EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) VALVE INCORRECT POSITION

Possible failuer P042F

• EGR valve stuck or jammed
• EGR valve position sensor recognized active value shifting

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• Deviation between target valve position and active valve position is beyond +3% during 4 seconds and more.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• IG ON (II)
• BATTERY voltage ≥ 10.5V

Clear Fault codes Conditions

• Deviation between target valve position and active valve position is beyond +3% during 4 seconds and more.

MIL Status

• Check Engine Light ON
