Description of Fault code P1058

FUEL RAIL PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND

Possible failuer P1058

• Metering Unit Actuator
• Metering Unit Actuator harness (Short to ground)

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

• During the inactive drive circuit, the short to ground of the drive line that minute current can be drawn off by another diagnostic circuit is detected for a set period of time.

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

• IG ON (II) and when the OFF direction of the Metering Unit energization

Clear Fault codes Conditions

• During the inactive drive circuit, the short to ground of the drive line that minute current can be drawn off by another diagnostic circuit is detected for a set period of time.

MIL Status

• Check Engine Light ON
