Description of Fault code P250A

ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

Possible failuer P250A

  • Engine oil level sensor-signal harness between PCM open or short to ground
  • Engine oil level sensor-power harness open or short to ground
  • Engine oil level sensor-GND harness between PCM open
  • Engine oil level sensor internal circuit failure

Diagnostic Procedure using AutoHex II Scan Tool

  • The state that pulse signal which was input from engine oil level sensor is the fixed state on High side or Low side is detected for a set period of time. (Pulse signal is periodical signal repeating High or Low)

Test Conditions using AutoHex tester

  • Continuously

Clear Fault codes Conditions

  • The state that pulse signal which was input from engine oil level sensor is the fixed state on High side or Low side is detected for a set period of time. (Pulse signal is periodical signal repeating High or Low)

MIL Status

  • Check Engine Light OFF
  • Blink oil pressure indicator or indicate to MID(Multi Information Display) and SFL
